The Australian Floodplain Association is a non-government organisation that was formed in 2005 to protect the rivers, floodplains and wetlands for the people who rely on them for their livelihood.

The association also links landholders (mainly dry land farmers and graziers) and their communities to scientists, politicians and conservation groups to sustainably manage riverine environments.
